Table runner finished

A few minutes ago I finished the table runner. The design is by Anne Stokkeland; I only changed the size of the blocks a bit. The crazy blocks were fun to make, so I'm sure I'll do it again in other colours. It's no sunshine today, but still very nice to be outdoors.

A lovely day

This morning I woke up to sunshine and a pleasant temperature, so after breakfast I walked in the garden for a while. Summer here in the north can be both cold and wet, but this year we have had nice weather most of the time. I really enjoy looking at the roses/flowers in bloom.
Yesterday I planned to make some progress on the table runner. To combine sewing and the warm weather, I "moved" the sewing room outdoors. Now the top is done. Tomorrow I will go on with the quilting
It has been a lovely day. Hopefully tomorrow will be the same.

A little bit sewing

Finally I can take this make-up bag off the UFO list. I think the quilted piece has been waiting for a couple of years. Yesterday I decided to do something about it, and it wasn't that much work to finish it. Months ago I bought a pattern from Kreativ Quilt. Last night I did a start - I cut all the squares that were required. "Høstløper" means autumn table runner, and as the autumn colours are my favourite ones, it was easy to find fabrics in my stash :-)

Christmas in July

Perhaps July isn't the best time of the year to do Christmas project, but now it's done. The Christmas table runner I started a couple of months ago, is finished. The colours are actually better than the photo shows. I think my next project will be some table mats. I'll see if I can find suitable fabrics in my stash.

A walk

Just wanted to show you a few photos. Late last evening DH and I went for a walk. It was so nice; sunshine and a comfortable temperature. I really enjoy summers here with the light nights.

Now back to some quilting. A hope to finish a table runner today.
