Quiltehelg / Quilting weekend
One week ago I was in Trondheim. Leanne Beasley and Gail Pan were invited to Quiltegården. Friday evening they told about themselves, and we could see their work. It was also "Show and tell" and there were so much beautiful things to see. Before we left, there were a little lottery. I'm seldom the lucky one, but this time I won a book by Rosalie Quinlan.
On Saturday and Sunday I joined the class the Australian ladies had. We got 4 different patterns. It was up to us to decide what to make. Below you can see some of the opportunities - a Christmas wallhanging, an apron and a table cloth with a beautiful embroidery. I started with the wallhanging.

Under ser dere bloggerne samlet. På Quiltegårdens blog kan dere finne addresser.
I had a fantastic weekend together with the teachers, Siw and her helpers and all the participants. For a long time I haven't found inspiration to sew, but now it's back. Now I just have to find time for it :-)
Below you can see the bloggers gathered. On Quiltegården's blog you can find addresses.
Hilser til alle. Takk for hyggelig samvær!
Thanks for lovely days!

Helg - weekend
Thanks for advice on my last post. I have made up my mind - I'll try to write both in Norwegian and English for a period and see how it will turn out.
Recently I have spent more time using the knitting sticks than needle and tread. The little sweater I started months ago is finished - hopefully the boy hasn't grown too fast :-)
I have been doing a little bit sewing, but unfortunately I can't show you any photos yet as it is a gift. The UFO I showed you in the last post is still the same, but I will applique some flowers.
Rain, rain, rain - it's perfect weather for indoors activities. The highest tops are covered with some snow, but I can't believe the winter is coming sooo early.
Ha en fin lørdag!

?
What's happening?!?! Today, I do have the time to quilt, but my inspiration/creativity seems to be gone. I've no idea what to make or work on. Actually, I did find this (rather ancient) UFO when going through some fabrics I thought I could do somethng with. The question is what? Sigh
Perhaps, I just ought to go out and enjoy the lovely fall weather we are experiencing at the moment? As you can see, yesterday I just did that, went for a little walk. I was so pleased when I came across some chanterelles.
Another thing, I have been playing with the thought of making this blog bilingual - writing in both Norwegian and English. The question is, would it be "too much" work to do both? Thoughts?

A letter from Australia
A couple of days ago I received a letter from Cathy in Australia. She organized a thimble exchange some weeks ago. Now I'm the owner of a beautiful thimble from Tasmania. Thanks a lot, Cathy!

Gift from Iceland
After visiting my mother for some days, I'm back home. A package was waiting for me. It was a gift from Hellen. I bought her a pattern and as a thank you she made me potsholders. For a long time I have had in mind to make me a new pair; now I don't have to. Thanks a lot Hellen!
The summer seems to be over. It's pouring down and about 8 degrees Celcius. It's perfect for sewing and other hobbies.
