These are my last finishes for 2009. I have made 4 of these place mats, but two of them got wrapped before I remembered to take a photo.
Glemte også å ta bilde av løperen med røde hjerter; det hastet å få den i posten, men her er den lilla utgaven.
I also forgot to photograph the table runner with red hearts; I was in a hyrry to get it in the mail, but below you can see the purple one.

More gifts

In a previous post I showed you the gift I got from Tatania. Here are a few more gifts from quilting friends. Marit gave me linen, lace and a pattern made by the Norwegian designer AnnAKa. Anne in England sent me a table runner and a book.This is from Debbie in USA. The spiced mug mat has a wonderful scent.I'm a member of an international quilting list, and we have a secret swap going on. Below is the gift I got for Christmas. Thank you sooo much all of you!

Nearly as fun as ....

getting gifts is to give them. This is what I put together for my secret friend Claire for the Christmas swap hosted by Chookyblue. It's my second time that I took part, and it was so much fun! Thanks Chookyblue for the great job you do.

SSCS

My secret santa friend this year was Tatania from Australia. The ornament she made for me I have showed you earlier. On Christmas Eve I opened the main gift,and it was a lovely bag and tea. It was the first time I tasted Australian tea - delicious. Thank you so much for the gift Tatania!

Duft av fersk bakst / Freshly baked pastries

Med julemusikk i bakgrunnen og noen timers innsats på kjøkkenet, dufter det nå herlig av julebrød og grove rundstykker.

After a few hours in the kitchen with Christmas music in the background, I now can enjoy the scent of rolls and Christmas bread with raisins.

I morgen må jeg konsentrere meg om noen julegaver.
Tomorrow I have to concentrate on a few Christmas gifts .

SSCS package

Today my SSCS package arrived. It has been on a long journey. It's hard to wait until Dec.24th to open the gifts, but fortunately I could unwrap the ornament - a white bird with red stitchery. Thanks a lot to the sender! I love it. May be you wonder who the sender is? That's secret until Christmas :-) Have a nice day/evening!

Grytekluter / potholders

Jeg nevnte tidligere at jeg var med i et gryteklutbytte. I går da jeg kom heim fra min førjulstur til mamma, kunne jeg åpne pakken. Det er første gang jeg har juletre-grytekluter. De passer godt på kjøkkenet. I tillegg fikk jeg en pose knapper. Tusen, tusen takk Inge!

In a previous post I told you that I joined a potholder swap. Yesterday when I came back from my trip to my mother, I could open the package. It's the first time I have potholders like a Christmas tree. They fit very well in my kitchen. I also got some buttons. Thank you very much Inge!
